These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Tax Appeal HQ, LLC ("Tax Appeal HQ," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of taxappealhq.com and our related tools and services (together, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
You accept these Terms when you access or use the Site, including when you request a savings estimate or submit information through a form. You confirm that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.
Tax Appeal HQ is a Georgia-based property tax appeal service for residential property owners. Through the Site, you can look up your property, see an estimate of your potential appeal savings, and — if you choose — engage us to evaluate, file, and pursue an appeal of your property's assessed value and to represent you before the county Board of Equalization on a contingency basis.
Tax Appeal HQ does not provide legal services, and nothing we do is the practice of law. We are not a law firm, we are not your attorneys, and using the Site or our Services does not create an attorney-client relationship. We represent property owners in administrative property tax appeals — not in a court of law. Georgia law permits a non-attorney to represent a taxpayer, for a fee, before a county Board of Equalization. We operate within that boundary.
Our Services go up to and including the county Board of Equalization. If you wish to appeal further to Superior Court, that is a court proceeding that requires a licensed Georgia attorney and is outside our Services. If you want to take that step, we can refer you to a partner attorney, whom you would retain and pay directly under a separate agreement.
The savings figures shown on the Site are estimates for informational purposes only. They are not a promise, guarantee, or offer of any particular result. Whether your assessment can be reduced — and by how much — is decided by the county Board of Assessors and Board of Equalization, not by us. We do not and cannot guarantee any reduction. You should not make financial decisions based solely on an estimate shown on the Site.
If you engage us to handle an appeal, you will separately review and sign two documents: the Service Agreement (our contingency contract) and the Letter of Authorization (which designates Tax Appeal HQ as your authorized agent under Georgia law). Those two documents govern the actual appeal engagement, including scope, fee, renewal, and cancellation. If anything in these Terms conflicts with the Service Agreement or Letter of Authorization regarding your engagement, those documents control.
To use the Services you must be at least 18 years old and either the property owner of record or a person authorized to sign on the owner's behalf. By engaging us, you represent that this is true.
To use certain features you may create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
When using the Site, you agree not to: provide false or misleading information; use the Site for any unlawful purpose; access systems or data that are not yours; scrape or use bots to access the Site; reverse engineer the Site; introduce malware or disrupt the Site's infrastructure; or copy or create derivative works of the Site's content.
The Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, the "Tax Appeal HQ" name and brand, and software — are owned by or licensed to Tax Appeal HQ and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Site for its intended purpose and your own non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.
The Site relies on third-party providers (including e-signature, CRM and communications, hosting and infrastructure, and email delivery) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or privacy practices of third parties. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Site, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information on the Site (including savings estimates) is accurate or current. No reduction or outcome is guaranteed. Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, financial, or investment advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tax Appeal HQ and its owners, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Georgia law. Liability arising from an actual appeal engagement is addressed in the Service Agreement.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tax Appeal HQ and its owners, officers, employees, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your violation of these Terms or applicable law; information you provide that is false or that you were not authorized to provide; or your misuse of the Site.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that proceeds in court will be brought exclusively in the state or superior courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or for other legitimate reasons. Sections 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination. Closing your website account does not by itself cancel an active appeal engagement; cancellation of an engagement is governed by the Service Agreement.

These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy, and, for an engagement, the Service Agreement and Letter of Authorization) are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor.
